2010/2011 Season Novice

The Novice Team are called the shadows. They can be a team of 12 to 16 with up to 4 alternates. The girls’ are aged between 10 and 14 years.

At the moment we have 15 skaters in our squad, all of whom are great girls, committed to the team and synchro and are striving to gain the Field Moves needed to compete this season. We need 25% of the team at level 1, 50% at level 3 and 25% at level 5.

 This season we have changed our music to Inspector Gadget. The girls will be wearing a shocking pink and electric blue costume which goes well with the music.

Last year the team skated fantastically well and had two wins, both at the Scottish Championships in Dumfries and the British Championships in Sheffield. The British netted 2 large cups as they won both the British Championships and the Synchronized Skating Championships at the same competition.

We also skated abroad this year in s’Hertogenbosch, Holland and posted a creditable 4^th against good international competition, including an excellent team from Moscow.

This years’ competition calendar is as yet unknown but we look forward to repeating our national success, and hopefully another trip abroad.
