Nottingham Synchronized Skating Academy’s Juvenile Team are called “The Silhouettes”  Our squad ranges from 12 to 16 skaters, with up to 4 alternative skaters, and we have a full membership this season.  Skaters are aged between 8 and 12 years of age.

This season, we will be skating to a new dance routine taken from the hit musical “Hairspray” and the girls are looking forward to showing off their abilities in their debut for the season at Dumfries in October 2009.  We will also be competing in the British Championships taking place in Sheffield in January 2010, where we are hoping to follow last season’s success when we brought home the Bronze Medal.

We had a fantastic time last year, when invited to Hertogenbosch in The Netherlands, and came 2nd.We are hoping to compete abroad again later this year or early next year, and intend to match or indeed better this result. There are Synchronized Skating camps being held in Sheffield during August 2009 and Dumfries during October 2009, and we are hoping to attend one or both, to assist the development of all of our skaters.
