Nottingham Silhouettes – Juveniles Team Manager: jo@nssaonline.co.uk

This season our Juvenile team, the Silhouettes, was joined by all the skaters who achieved success last season whilst skating as the Sprites in the elementary category. With the merging of ‘old’ and ‘new’, our current Juvenile squad is in a fantastic position to build on the success that both teams have had in previous seasons. The Silhouettes won gold at the British Championships and at an international competition in Holland in 2010 and the Sprites won gold at both the British and Scottish Open Championships in 2010 and 2011 respectively.

The team is aged from 9 – 12 years.  Their coach Esther Bell has developed a new routine to ‘The Sound of Freedom’ by Bob Sinclair and the girls love it!  So far the team has skated in Lyon at the French Masters 2011 and came first, beating teams from France and Italy.  Unfortunately there is not a juvenile category at the British Championships this year but we are all looking forward to returning to Dumfries and skating in more international competitions....
