Rocking Robins (Intermediate) Manager: elaine@nssaonline.co.uk

With the introduction of a number of new skaters following the merger with the Loxley Foxes, the Rocking Robins are now a squad of 21 skaters, ranging in ages from 12 to 18, headed up by our team coach, Chloe, and supported by the rest of our experienced coaching team. This season they are skating to a lively medley in a 'swing' style. The squad are currently working very hard on their new routine, which they are looking forward to performing at competitions both at home and abroad in the coming season. The Robins continue to skate at Intermediate 2 level, which requires 50% of the team to have Field Moves at level 2. The squad has a fantastic team spirit, together with great dedication, and are very much looking forward to the challenges to come! Manager Elaine supports the administration of the team and organisation, as well as regularly supplying scrumptious goodies and hot chocolate!

Rocking Robins-Gold, Scottish Open Championships, 2008 The Rocking Robins started as an elementary team, created in 2007, which was a new venture for NSSA. Forming one of our first teams for the elementary category and with lots of hard work, the team competed in their first ever competition at Dumfries (2007)-after just a few months of skating together. In 2008 the team skated to a new programme and with their hard work and commitment led them to success at The Scottish Open and Altrincham Open winning Gold medals at each competition. At the end of 2008-2009 the team proceeded to Preliminary level, which again led to another successful season, bringing more medals back to the NSSA.
